Cherry Gardens (Duvall/Carnation)
Hill N’ Dale (Bellevue)
We meet monthly at the Newport Way
Library in South Bellevue on Monday evenings.
Our members range from beginning gardeners to professional
landscape designers. Monthly meeting topics vary and are based
upon member input and interests. Master gardeners and gardening
enthusiasts speak on a variety of topics at our monthly
meetings. They include horticulture, artful landscapes, flower
arranging and garden touring. Our club is open to new
members and all are welcome.
Hilltoppers (Kenmore, Bothell, Kirkland, Woodinville areas)
We meet the 1st Thursday morning of
the month, September–June, at the Northlake Lutheran
Church in Kenmore.
The Hilltoppers Garden Club is a vibrant, active Garden Club
that has been in existence for over 50 years. It is made up of
women who love gardening - and each other - and want to learn
more about all aspects of gardening. We offer stimulating
monthly programs which have featured speakers, demonstrations,
DVD presentations, panel discussions and tours. In April 2011 we
enjoyed a wonderful "Trillium Tour" in Woodinville; in May 2011
we learned a lot during a fascinating tour to the "Molbaks Farm"
(not the retail store), and this summer (2011) we are looking
forward to a guided tour of the Bastyr University Herb Farm in
August. In the fall of 2010 we increased our membership
limit from 40 to 50. Since August, 2010, 11 new members have
joined our Club. We do ask our guests to attend 3 meetings
before we invite them to officially join. Each new member has
offered new interests, enthusiasm and talents to our Club.
Hoe ‘N Hope (Bellevue)
We meet the 2nd Wednesday, September–June,
10 a.m. at Tibbett's Creek Manor, 750 Renton-Issaquah Road (SR
900)
Our club, organized in November, 1928, joined the Washington
State Federation of Garden Clubs as a charter member in 1933.
We serve King County, north and east of Issaquah to the Chelan
County border. Most current members are from Issaquah,
Sammamish or Bellevue. A few members live farther away:
Carnation, Fall City, Renton, and Snohomish. Our current
membership is just under 45, and we would welcome new members.
Our Business meeting is followed by a coffee break, a program
lasting about an hour, and a luncheon prepared by members. Check
out our website: http://issaquahgardenclub.org/
Pine Lake (Sammamish)
We meet on the 2nd Wednesday morning
of every month in a member's home.
We have a speaker at 7 of our ten yearly meetings. The
subject matter varies across the scope of gardening, to include
ecology, landscaping, arranging, health, food, propagation,
cultivating and plant life found around the world. We
usually have a 2–3 planned field trips per year, and 3–4
workshops per year. These are often scheduled on the third Wed.
of the month. Currently we have 36 members. We are
not actively seeking new members at this time, and are not
running a waiting list.
Sammamish
We meet on the 2nd Tuesday, September–June,
at 9:30 a.m. in a member's home.
Sammamish Garden Club's theme is "Friendship through
Gardening". Our programs include speakers, garden tours, and
workshops. We have two community outreach programs:
planning, planting, and maintaining the pots at the entry way of
Providence Marionwood and maintaining the upper section of the
Native Plant Garden at Sammamish City Hall. We recognize
international needs with an annual pledge to Songea's Kids in
Tanzania, Africa. Our club averages about twenty members.
Though most members reside in Sammamish we welcome all who would
actively participate.
Sherwood Forest (Bellevue)
We meet on the 2nd Tuesday of every
month at 7 p.m. in a member's home.
Sherwood Forest Garden Club was organized in August of 1959
and Federated in September of 1959. Our members live mostly in
Northeast Bellevue, but we do have members that live in Redmond,
Woodinville, Issaquah and Sammamish. SFGC is a small club (under
25 members). We strive to be well rounded, touching on design,
horticulture, conservation, and going on local field trips.
We welcome new members and do not have a waiting list.
Terra Tillers (Bellevue)
We meet on the 1st Monday of every
month at 7 p.m. in a member's home.
One of the few evening clubs, we were established in 1960 by
a group of new homeowners who were establishing their gardens
and were working the earth; thus, the name Terra Tillers. At
that time, most of the members lived in the Lake Hills
neighborhood of Bellevue. Now our members come from various
parts of Bellevue and Kirkland, though we welcome anyone who
shares a love of nature, plants and creative design using
flowers. Our fifteen members are diverse in age and interest
and our programs are planned to reach each member. We often have
guest speakers on topics of horticulture, design, conservation
and landscape. As an individual garden club, we put on a flower
show every two years which is open to the public and is usually
held in a library. Some of our members also belong to the two
designer’s guilds in the District. We are proud of our long and
active participation in East Lake Washington District of Garden
Clubs. Come share gardening tips, plants, garden tours, picnics
and parties with us. We always welcome visitors and new members.
Valleyvue (Bellevue)
We meet on the 3rd Wednesday of every
month at 1 p.m. in a member's home.
Valleyvue Garden Club was organized in 1956 and still has
some of the orginal members! There are 12 members now and we
would welcome new membership. Most members live in the downtown
Bellevue area but some now live further out. We meet on the 3rd
Wednesday at 1 p.m. in our member homes. We feature garden
intrest speekers, flower design, garden trips, crafts, and
membership friendship.
West Sammamish (Bellevue)
We meet on the 2nd Thursday, September–June,
at 10 a.m. at Eastgate Congregational Church, 15318 SE Newport
Way, Bellevue.
We have 25 members currently and are always open to new
people wanting to learn, share and just make new friends! Our
club is an “Honor Club”, meaning that we divide our monthly
programs equally between horticulture, design and
environmental/recycling. And we love garden tours!
Willowmoor (throughout EWLD)
No regular meetings.
Willowmoor Garden Club had 19 members at the end of the
2010-2011 term. Members come from 7 cities within ELWD and 4
are from outside our District. The members that we added this
year were referred by other members. Our focus is Garden Tours
in areas around Puget Sound. We do not have a regular meeting
date; we use the District's General Membership Meetings as a
"meeting date" for those interested and select our tours from
the Elisabeth Miller Library's "Tours & Plant Sales List". Our
$10 dues this past year barely covered the ELWD and WSFGC dues
and people pay for their own tour tickets and meals at events.
We usually have one group meeting at a home with pretty good
attendance and the tour participation varies depending on
people's schedules as they are mostly on summer weekends.
Meeting information withheld;
currently maintaining a waiting list; see below.
The club was founded in 1984 and maintains a membership of
50 active members. We are affiliated with both ELWD and
Washington State Federation of Garden Clubs. We are a
non-profit community organization. The Woodinville Garden Club
is a community organization united by an inherent love of
gardening. Our mission is to offer enrichment through learning
about horticulture, participating in civic beautification, and
enjoying friendship as we pursue these activities.
Proceeds from our fund raisers provide for club operations and
many civic projects which have included:
Community beautification; $20,000 contribution to the Wilmont
Park; Georgia Gerber bronze statue at DeYoung Park; Planting at
the Northshore Adult Day Center; Two annual scholarships; Youth
gardening; and World gardening. A complete list is
available on our website:

maintaining a waiting list for new members. Apply at:

Design Guilds
AVANT Designers Guild
We meet on the 2nd Monday, September–June,
at 10 a.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Issaquah.
Avant Design Group is a special group of East Lake
Washington Garden Club members interested in learning and
practicing the art of flower arranging and design. We hope
to advance the study of floral designs, support and enter flower
shows, strengthen our clubs and ELWD by participating with
enthusiasm. We expect members to bring designs to meetings and
discuss them focusing on the topic of study for that month.
Members take turns co-hosting refreshments of coffee/tea and
light snack/cookies to go with our sandwiches we each bring. We
have about 25 members now and we do accept new members. It has
been usually by invitation from a member. Anyone wishing to
learn more about design may come for a visit to see what Avant
is all about. We would like to give the hostesses advance
notice. We also give design programs to other design
groups, clubs, districts and more.
East Lake Washington Arrangers Guild (ELAWAGS)
We meet on the last Wednesday of the
month, September–May, at Christ the King Lutheran Church,
Bellevue.
ELAWAGS began in 1963. Our group strives to do flower
designs that express modern new ideas and components ever
stretching our creativity. We stage and present programs
for the enjoyment and enlightenment of others. Membership
is by member sponsorship. We are open to new members.
During the summer we have our annual picnic.
